Your New Year’s Revolution
“This year you’re at war with unwanted body fat and procrastination”

unwanted body fat and procrastination
Well the New Year is upon us and I’m sure like many out there, you are looking forward to taking advantage of a new year and starting off fresh with new resolutions.
I also know that like many people out there, you may have had the same aspirations as last year but just either didn’t follow through with your resolutions or just didn’t hit your goals.
Luckily for you, you landed on this blog and are reading this article, because I’m here to help you change all that. You see I’ve unlocked the real secret to how to overcome any obstacle and keep you from not achieving 2012’s Resolution.
But this isn’t just any New Year’s plan. This is a Revolution! Cause you need to go to battle with yourself and fight for every inch of a better life that you deserve.
In this article we will focus on our two main missions in The New Year’s Revolution:
Mission 1: Operation over coming the enemy (bad eating habits) and start eating right for fat annihilation.
Mission 2: Homeland security –Self development and actually having goals that you reach to win the war.
Mission 1: Operation over coming the enemy (bad eating habits) and start eating right for fat annihilation.
Reduce The Weight
I want you to look at this list of enemies you face when trying to eat consistently healthy to promote fat loss. Pick out which one or ones is your greatest enemy and follow my advise to overcome and defeat it.
- Time:
This is the #1 enemy I hear as to why people tell me they couldn’t get their meals in or eat the right foods.
Defeating time enemy: You need to be more prepared. Period. Stop trying to take it day by day with your eating plan. Have your week planned out with exactly when and what you will eat. Take the weekends to relax on this a little. But you need to be militant during the week. I know it sound regimented and boring, but you need that!! Do you want to look and feel your best? Then have your meals planned, prepped and ready to go with healthy snacks in between. Don’t give me the I’m in meetings all day excuse. Make your meetings more efficient then and refuel your body. You take bathroom brakes right? So take a quick snack break.
- Cravings
You’re craving certain foods or sweets because you are either a) addicted to sugar or salt or b) your body is not getting sufficient nutrients to satisfy the needs and demands.
One week at a time start eliminating bad habits and make sure you are giving your body a balance of nutrients it needs. Sometimes supplementing with shakes and vitamins helps because you might not be getting all vitamins and nutrients from the food you’re eating.
- Stress
Stress comes to us in all forms. Unfortunately stress seems to be a part of our daily lives in 2012. But we can alleviate some of that stress this year with a well thought out plan.
Sometimes other feelings we disguise as stress like depression, loneliness, fear and disorganization.
Try this… make a weekly calendar for yourself. Now make a list of all activities in your week like work, gym, meals, reading, praying, bill paying, hobbies, dates, est.…
Block out times in your week for all these activities you need or want to do and give them time frames. You can also color coordinate them. Keep this weekly calendar on your wall or by your desk or fridge.
Good time management and preparation = de-stress
- Money
If you think that only the rich can afford healthy whole foods, you’re mistaken. Shopping at a local farmer’s market for fresh fruits and vegetables does not have to be costly. Buy your meats and poultry in bulk and cook them in batches so you can spread it out throughout your week. Of course if you eat out every lunch and dinner it’s gonna add up. There are also good low cost healthy prepared meals available out there like The Meal Movement.
- Options
Too many options can be a bad thing. I’ve learned that in the dating world, but that’s a story for another time.
You need to limit your options. You only need 2 choices really for breakfast and lunch during the week that are good for you and promote fat loss. For snacks on the go or in between meals, like 2-3 healthy choices. Then for dinner, you can plan out 4-5 different dinners that are not only tasty but extremely healthy if done right.
If you do crave that not so healthy meal, then save for a Saturday night as a treat for achieving excellence during the week.
Mission 2: Homeland security –Conquering fear and actually having goals that help you to win the war.
One of my past times is reading books and listening to audio cd’s on topics such as motivation, self improvement, building a business, and just general laws of the universe.
What I have read is very interesting when it comes to achieving success and truly becoming focused and a better “you”. Basically all these books and authors have a common message that has been pretty much scientically and socially proven.
What I have learned is the number one emotion that holds us back is “FEAR”.
Sometimes we are more driven by fear than we are of joy. The world is full of fear and we are controlled by this debilitating emotion.
Other feeling form originally out of fear like “anger” and “worry”. Think about what you see on TV about the economy and our futures. Fear is used to manipulate and control. Fear is that ball and chain that we carry around with us.
It’s time to break free of the burden and not listen to the haters. I was told to keep my gym job and it wasn’t the right time to start a business. The economy is too bad.
If I listened to others and gave in to those fears, I probably wouldn’t be writing this article for you and fulfilling my mission of helping hundreds, eventually thousands of people to be a better, stronger version of themselves.
If you want to achieve success somewhere or everywhere in your life you must…
- Have clarity and write down exactly what you want and how you intend to achieve this
One thing I noticed that really separates the people who actually hit their New Year’s resolution compared to the people who don’t is having clear defined specific goals. But don’t just stop there. You also need to set deadlines for these goals or milestones.
What I recommend, especially in the beginning of the year, is to set a defined goal each month for the first 3 months of the year. This will make each one short enough to stay focused on and cause you to really focus in shorter periods of time.
Also write down exactly what your goals are! On paper! Yes the old fashion way. I don’t know exactly what it is, but when you actually put down on paper what it is you want to achieve, it some how will manifest itself more easily.
- Make lists and work off these lists. This will keep your action items organized which will keep you more prepared which will equal less stress.
- Your sub-conscious mind can be more powerful then what your conscious mind is using. Protect this and nurture it. What do I mean by this? Well, if you are always watching the news, reading gossip magazines and watching reality shows, not reading anything that has to do with self improvement from people who have achieved success. Ultimately all you are doing is brainwashing yourself to stay where you currently are at instead of achieving something greater for yourself and becoming a stronger “you”
I know some of this may come off a little harsh and maybe to you a little out there, but I’ve done a lot of reading and soul searching in my life and this is how I truly feel. I’m just here to help and maybe get you thinking, hopefully set you on a path to becoming a better you. We all need it and can improve. Life is a journey, enjoy it but don’t waste it.
